Our hours for public swims this year are Saturday/Sunday 2-5 (Saturday being a FREE swim funded by the United Way!), and our Weekday schedule is Monday-Friday 2-5, followed by a 5:30-8:00 evening swim. We hope to see you all there!
The Mahone Bay and Area Swimming Pool is very excited to be offering a range of new programs this summer, in addition to what we currently offer, such as the fantastic Bronze Award courses. Our new suit of courses will include:
-National Lifeguard Service Award (NLS) for those of you who are looking to become certified lifeguards, and maybe come work with us some day!
– Aquafit designed by the most senior Physiotherapist on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.
– Autism Swimming Lessons, with instructors trained by the Autism Society of Nova Scotia.
– Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) for those of you who want to become certified Swimming Instructors.
– Private Swimming Lessons
– Private and group Adult Swimming Lessons, because it’s never too late to learn how to swim!
It’s finally that time of year again! Lesson registration is going to be open as of this Monday (June 25). Staff will be here from 9:30 – 5:30 every day after, and including this Monday, so if you are looking to come and sign up for lessons, feel free to drop by!
Due to the solar eclipse today and the major safety risks that follow, we will not be having our afternoon public swim. Please advise your children to stay inside during these hours unless you have the proper protective eyewear for the eclipse. We will be open for evening lessons as well as the evening swim. Thank you for your understanding as our main concern is the safety of your kids.
Have a great day.
